I’ve been thinking a lot about control – what we can control and what we can’t. Between our relationships with our family, friends and co-workers, workplace situations, the political state of the day, the elections, to Covid-19, and all the personal situations we experience every day.

What happens when you do the best you can in order to reach your goals and they don’t work out as planned. Do you get angry, frustrated, combative, sad, depressed, or experience anxiety?

What if you considered the idea that perhaps the outcome might be better, bigger or more meaningful than what was planned? What if you were to let go of the reigns so to speak, and allow things to unfold as they will, regardless of your expectations, hopes and desires.

The paradox here is that Control is an Illusion!  The more you try to control things, the less happy you become. What if you were to accept that ultimately, the only thing you can really control is your reaction to a situation, and by working on pausing vs. reacting, you actually have the opportunity to make choices around that outcome that are right for you.

Check out my video as I do a deeper dive into solutions for letting go of our need to control, and through allowing things to unfold, options on how to move forward become clear.

Shine on dear friends!
